2011 is going to be a great year in terms of colour. From piquant oranges and honeysuckle pinks to deep russet and rustic lavender, we’ll be seeing some very inspiring combinations this year! Below are some of our new favourites. What do you think?
Pink champagnes accented with a touch of gold may be an old classic but we still love it. Weave in accents of taupe and beige for a fresh contemporary feel, while softer pink and cream details create a dreamy, vintage look.
Poppy red had its moment in the spotlight this fall, but orange will be gaining traction this year. Consider it the new red. A versatile yet often-overlooked colour (we love carrot or saffron), it creates an inviting, sun-kissed venue, perfect for Autumn. Mix it with aged gold tones or earthy yellow, or balance the vibrant palette with a touch of mocha or taupe for a truly modern look.
Of course, we had to include celadon because it is a lot like our signature colour here at The Wedding Company! This pretty understated hue with its green and blue undertones, is in fact a very traditional wedding color and perfect for spring weddings! Juxtapose it with lemon yellow for an unexpected twist or play it safe and pair it with classic white or ivory. This creamy mint is a surefire way to lend elegance to your big day.
