Just before the summer, we put together an elegant evening in Hong Kong for a gorgeous couple to celebrate their recent nuptials in Bali. Caroline, our in-house creative genius spent long hours planning and styling long tables in shades of ivory and pale gold decorated with tall arrangements of white phalaenopsis orchids surrounded by pillar candles and low arrangements. Little touches such as die-cut placecards with calligraphed guest names and pop-up place mats added a warm touch. This is what we do best!
Of course, it helps when you have lovely clients and a beautiful ballroom such as the one at the Aberdeen Marina Club to work with. Here are some images from the talented Alison Mayfield.
Our favourite touch of the evening? The popular “Candy Bar” where guests, young and old, indulged themselves and took home bags of their favourite childhood sweets. Yum!
Looks like Spring 2012 is going to be all about Tulle! Here are some of our favourites..
Oscar de la Renta‘s gown above features billowing tulle and a sequined bodice for Spring 2012
The skirt of this ball gown is described as “tumbled tulle” and features floating lace and organza appliques.
A romantic strapless lace bodice with beading and embroidery details flows into a full tulle skirt by JLM Couture.
Fit for a more modern bride, this wedding gown by Badgley Mischka features a one-shoulder corsage of silk organza, tulle, and beaded rhinestones.
With a shirred tulle skirt, strapless bodice and long train, this stunning gown is fit for a modern-day fairy tale.
The Florence styled ‘Ines di Santo’ wedding gown features a bodice of beading with a crystal sash and a very full tulle skirt. Fit for a princess!

We absolutely adore this look! Colours melting prettily from light to dark or vice versa….the proper definition is ‘ombre’ (don’t worry, we hadn’t heard of it either). Its gaining momentum and we love it, especially in pink! What do you think?

Couldn’t resist sharing this with you all even though its not really wedding related! Kotur is one of our favourite handbag labels and their Fall Winter 2011 collection continues to delight. With feathered plumes, sequins and tassels all beautifully done in rich autumn-y tones in suedes, skins and leathers, this collection was inspired by the women that inspire Fiona Kotur. We love the simplicity of the Margo Faille satin minaudieres, perfect for a night out (or a bridesmaids gift..)!
